Junior Test Technician

Location: Camarillo, CA

Position Summary

A leading company in the motion control and electronics manufacturing industry is seeking a Junior Test Technician to support failure analysis and product testing activities.

This entry-level role focuses on testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies, supporting quality assurance efforts, and assisting in test setup and execution under the guidance of experienced technicians. The position is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of electronics and hands-on lab skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic products, including servo amplifiers
  • Execute predefined test procedures and accurately document results
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of test environments
  • Identify faults and contribute to root cause analysis efforts
  • Support quality initiatives by flagging defects and improvement opportunities
  • Work under guidance of senior technicians while developing technical skills

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in electronics testing or troubleshooting
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits, components, and principles
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, etc.)
  • Proficiency in soldering and desoldering techniques
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Education

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Based in a Camarillo, CA lab/manufacturing environment
  • Overtime, including evenings and weekends, may be required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25-40 lbs

Compliance Requirement

This role is subject to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents.


Compensation

$23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience and market factors.
